Prestiżowe stypendium dla naszej doktorantki mgr inż. Ewy Stępień

Nasza doktorantka mgr inż. Ewa Stępień (promotor prof. M. Manecki) otrzymała w drodze ogólnopolskiego konkursu prestiżowe stypendium CEE Fellowship Programme fundowane przez Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (https://cms.dbu.de/2600.html). Stypendium obejmuje półroczny staż, opiekę mentorską i współpracę naukową w niemieckiej instytucji dla realizacji własnego projektu związanego z problemami środowiskowymi. W tym roku w Polsce zostały przyznane dwa takie stypendia. Pani E. Stępień wybrała Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. Tematem projektu doktorskiego Pani E. Stępień z zakresu mineralogii eksperymentalnej są badania nad mechanizmami i skutecznością działania nowatorskiej metody usuwania skażeń arsenem z wód poprzez strącanie apatytów ołowiowych.

Eng. Ewa Stępień has been awarded the prestigious CEE Fellowship Program (https://cms.dbu.de/2600.html) funded by Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt. The scholarship awarded through the nationwide competition includes a six-month internship, mentorship and scientific cooperation at a German institution for the implementation of an own project related to environmental problems. Two such scholarships were awarded in Poland this year. Ms. E. Stępień chose the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. The topic of E.Stępień’s doctoral project in the field of experimental mineralogy is the study of the mechanisms and effectiveness of a novel method of removing arsenic contamination from water by precipitating lead apatite.
