NCN PRELUDIUM grant for Ewa Stępień

The project submitted by our Department’s PhD student Ewa Stępień, M.Sc. to the National Science Center (NCN) PRELUDIUM 23 competition has been qualified for funding among 18 projects in the ST10 panel.

The research project “Sequestration of arsenic from water by precipitation of mimethite Pb₅(AsO₄)₃Cl – basic research for a novel technology” is part of Ewa’s PhD thesis carried out in our Department. The goal is to study the pathway of arsenic removal by precipitation of insoluble crystalline mimetite on modified zeolite: Pb-activated clinoptilolite.
